Muay Thai Kickboxing / Boxing
Head Instructor Ajarn Daniel Smith has been training in the art of Muay Thai kickboxing under the legendary Thai Grandmaster, Ajarn Chai Sirisute, President and Founder of the World Thai Boxing Association since 1990. Ajarn Smith was the first person promoted to instructor level in Michigan. Classes are a blend of Muay Thai kickboxing and Eastern Boxing, offering intense workouts and conditioning. Students training here are able to advance through the Thai Boxing curriculum to become certified instructors under Ajarn Daniel Smith and with the WTBA.
Boxe Francaise ~ Savate
French Kickboxing
The noble art of France meaning, "Old Shoe" is a contact sport requiring dexterity and precision. Students will use their hands and feet to make contact with a partner who is in constant motion. This requires "Agility" to execute quick and coordinated movements, "Flexibility" to properly combine the movements, and "Good Reflexes" to react quickly to your partner who is also trying to make contact with you. This class will offer an awesome array of kicking and punching skills with a great aerobic workout along with improved flexibility and balance. Students will be tested for rank directly under Professor Salem Assli, President of the California Association of Boxe Fransaise Savate. Head Instructor Daniel Smith has been training directly under Professor Salem Assli since 2000 and holds the rank of Silver Glove 1st degree / Initiator Level. Equipment required for class is boxing gloves and wrestling shoes.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu / Judo / JKD Grappling
Head Instructor Professor Daniel Smith has been training in the grappling arts since 1989 training in Shoot Wrestling under the legendary instructors as Yorinaga Nakamura, Sifu Larry Hartsell and Sensie Erik Paulson. In 1992 Professor Smith started training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training with some of the best BJJ instructors in the world. Other grappling arts Head Instructor Daniel Smith has trained in are Japanese and Filipino Ju-Jitsu and Judo. This program is mostly elements from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with the addition of these other arts to make this an complete program for self-defense as well as competition. Students will learn positions, submissions, escapes and counters as well as how these arts can be applied in the real world. Not only is this class a great way to get into shape, but it is a very good form of self-defense for both men and especially for women.
Women's Self-Defense
Head Instructor Daniel Smith feels very strongly about women's self-defense and has spent his whole career researching and teaching this program to women all over Michigan as well as at Michigan State University. Mr. Smith has put together a program that not only teaches you the best strategies for women in a self-defense situation, but will also offer you training in awareness, confidence, as well as the emotional aspects for survival. I cover four ranges of defense; Long range (offense and defense), Close range (escapes and counters), Ground Defense and Weapons Defense. This class will improve your strength and conditioning to develop the extreme warrior in you. Ages 13 an above.

Kids Kickboxing Program
A great kickboxing program for kids ages 8 to 12 years of age. This program covers elements from Boxing, Muay Thai and French Kickboxing. Your children will learn the importance of street safety, stranger awareness, home safety along with building respect for others, self-discipline, confidence, self-defense while learning the fun of health and fitness. Don't let your children walk around being afraid of bullies or not knowing what to do when a stranger is around. Improve their confidence and health with kickboxing.
